Cayman Compass’s Seaford Russell Jr sat down to chat with the new Miss Cayman Islands Universe Ileann Powery.
The newly crowned queen told him about her preparation for the contest, the nerves she faced and the excitement she has for representing Cayman in a world-class competition like Miss Universe.
Powery told of the pride she has in the traditions of Cayman culture, her steps to continue with her career as an athlete and the plans to visit all the schools on the three islands to motivate the new generations to fulfill their dreams.
