Cayman Arts Festival presents Dequan Smith and Adam Heron

Dequan Smith

Before returning to the UK for another year of studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, cellist Dequan Smith, a former winner of the Butterfield Young Musician of the Year and a finalist of the Young Musician of the Caribbean Award, is eager to treat local audiences to yet another spectacular concert.

Joining Dequan on this musical journey is his good friend, Adam Heron, a finalist in the BBC Young Musician 2018 competition, who will accompany him on the piano. At just 24 years old, Adam has already left an indelible mark on audiences in over 15 countries with his exceptional talent. Born in Hong Kong of Nigerian-Filipino heritage, he is a prize-winning musician who has earned prestigious awards both in the UK and internationally, including the esteemed Harriet Cohen Bach Prize from the Royal Academy of Music.
