For the second straight season, Clifton Hunter High School’s ‘A’ team has prevailed as the Dart Under-13 Boys Football League champions.

The reigning champions sealed the deal on 11 Oct., after defeating Cayman International School, which finished third in the final standings, behind second overall John Gray High School.

Clifton Hunter secured wins over JGHS (3-1), Cayman Prep 1 (4-1), Cayman Prep 2 (6-0), CHHS B (4-0), St. Ignatius Catholic School (6-0) and Triple C (4-0 forfeit).

“The CHHS A team displayed ‘Nothing but the Best’ on the football pitch as they managed to finish the season with…38 goals and only managed to concede 5,” Clifton Hunter coach Ricardo Hayles told the Compass, noting that his team has improved over the previous season.

Clifton Hunter also fielded the top scorer, as Basil Scott blasted 14 balls that found the back of the net – resulting in golden boot honours. Hayles also highlighted several other players who helped make Clifton’s victory possible.
