The ‘345 Viking’ Christopher Hurlston, undaunted by his busy fighting schedule, cruised to a unanimous victory over a former amateur champion on Saturday, 28 Oct.
Caymanian Hurlston, who trains at Henry’s Gym in England, travelled to Guernsey and defeated their hometown heavyweight Dan Maree in a three-round bout.
Maree was originally scheduled to face someone else, but a last-minute pullout enabled the West Bayer to seize the opportunity for another fight – something he has now done twice in a row.
Now 5-0, Hurlston will look to get another bout in before the year ends. He told the Compass that his plans are to possibly represent Cayman at an Olympic qualifier in February.
