The always confident Cayman amateur boxer Jaden Eccleston says he is looking forward to his scheduled bout with Bahamian Milano Knowles which is fewer than 72 hours away, at the ‘Clash in Cayman’ fight night.

Eccleston told the Compass that he isn’t concerned about his opponent’s game plan, noting that he is focusing on his own abilities and will prove that he is the superior boxer come Friday, 8 Dec.

“Their expectation is to win, that’s what they are coming to try and do but we have a surprise for them,” he said.

“I think Cayman will get all three victories. I’m very confident in my stablemate Alec [Lopez] and myself, and then we have Geno [Brown].”

Eccleston, who holds an 8-3 record, says since his loss at the Pan American Games last month, he has been preparing for Friday’s fight, adding he was happy to be a part of the Clash in Cayman card.

“I’m excited for the fight. I’m excited to be on that card and excited to perform in front of the Cayman people once again – it’s been a while,” he said, noting that the audience will only add fuel to the fire that he plans to bring inside the ring.

“I like the crowd,” he said. “I shine brighter when there is a big crowd – the bigger the crowd the better I perform.”
