Hundreds of participants reveled in purple powder Sunday morning at the annual Family Resource Centre’s Colour Me Purple 5k Walk/Run, which started at Seven Mile Beach.
Runners and walkers alike showed their support for the fundraising event.
The Colour Me Purple event forms part of the ongoing calendar of activities for Honouring Women Month, which is celebrated in March.
The funds from the walk will go towards the Family Resource Centre’s Young Parent Services.

“We provide support to young parents between the ages of 13 and 25 to meet basic needs, gain parenting skills, remove barriers to access training and education opportunities and gain employment,” the FRC said in a short brief on the event.
