Cayman Airways’ Junior Achievement Team, Cutting Edge, has once again come out on top winning Company of the Year 2024! The team also walked away with the awards for Female Achiever of the Year (Jada Myles), VP of Finance (Joshua Scotland), VP HR (Arianna McKayle) and VP Public Relations (Lewis Wilks).
The students spent 5 months recycling wooden pallets, turning them into beautiful shelves, trays and signs and selling them their pop-up shops at A.L. Thompson’s, the Agriculture Show, Camana Bay, friends, family and even at the airport on Little Cayman. Their total sales was CI$4,100.00.
While the students were excited about their winnings, they feel they were more excited about the fact they were able to give back to their community by providing community service by volunteering with Meals on Wheels and also giving back 10% of their sales to CI Cancer Society. A cheque was presented by the members of Cutting Edge including President Owen Bard to Dave O’Droscoll and also in attendance CAL’s President & CEO Fabian Whorms, Paul Tibbetts EVP Finance and Commercial Affairs. Dave Scott EVP Flight Operations & Chief Operations Officer and Wendy Evans-Williams, Director Human Resources.
