Cayman is set for a weekend of acrobatics, aerialists and death-defying stunts when the circus comes to the Lions Community Centre this October.
The ‘Circus International Rotary Club of Grand Cayman’ production will hold seven shows from 17-19 Oct.
“The whole event is designed to bring a full-scale circus to Grand Cayman, create a safe and fun environment for families to spend time together, and benefit an incredible cause,” Montana DeBor, founder of Menagerie Productions and show organiser, told the Cayman Compass.
The immersive experience will also seek to raise funds to benefit the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman, which last brought the circus to the island about 20 years ago.

DeBor is a multi-generational Rotarian, while her Menagerie co-founder and husband Facundo Kramer is a seventh-generation circus performer. Their entertainment company is dedicated to fundraising for charities around the world.
“The entire cast is thrilled to come to Grand Cayman … and we hope to make this a regular event on island,” DeBor said.
“We chose the Lions Centre for its size as we are bringing a full-scale circus show with international artists from all over the world. We have an incredible wire walker from Cirque du Soleil named Stéphane Pansa as well as one of the most famous juggling troupes on the planet: the Arestov family. Aerialists from Big Apple Circus are included in the cast as well as performers from America’s Got Talent.”
The 90-minute show will also include comedy, activities, live music and opportunities to meet the cast. The shows are for all ages and no animals will be involved in the production.
“Aerial acts will happen up to 35 feet in the air, the ceiling was high enough and riggable at the Lions Centre – and they have been a pleasure to work with. The finale of the show is an incredible trampoline wall act. There was enough space to fit it in, so we are excited to bring that as well,” DeBor said.
Christian Victory, President Rotary Club of Grand Cayman told the Compass, “The Club is excited to be benefiting from this great upcoming family-friendly event and will use its share of the proceeds to support charitable causes in the Cayman Islands.”
