Two stores selling electronics have been hit this week by thieves who haven stolen thousands of dollars worth of goods.
Raiders smashed through the door of a store on Crewe Road, George Town, and took items including mobile phones, laptops and tablets, as well as an undisclosed sum of cash, according to a press release issued by the RCIPS on Friday.
The raid was reported to police at about 9am on Tuesday.
Police were also alerted to a similar raid on an electronics store in Eastern Avenue in George Town, about 9:40am on Monday.
The raiders broke through the door and stole $20,000 worth of stock, including gaming consoles and a drone, the release said.
Police have appealed for witnesses and said anyone who sees electronic items listed for sale online or in stores which appear to be suspicious or on offer at bargain prices should contact them.
The RCIPS added that stores selling high-value goods should ensure CCTV systems are in good working order and that their premises are secure.
They said stock lists should be up to date and that display cases should be emptied and goods stored in a secure place at the end of the day.
