The Cayman National Choir and Orchestra are preparing to bring an eclectic programme of music and song to the Harquail Theatre on Friday, 14 March.

The ‘Rhythms and Reflections’ concert will combine vibrant orchestral compositions with rich choral harmonies.

“The orchestra will infuse the evening with energy, performing an exciting mix of Latin-inspired selections, a fiery rendition of Santana’s Smooth, hits from Chicago: The Musical, and a crowd-pleasing ABBA medley,” organisers said.

“The performance promises a celebration of movement, rhythm, and the power of music to evoke emotion and nostalgia.”

The Cayman National Choir will add a powerful layer to the evening’s narrative, as it invites the audience “on a journey through rhythmic beats, heartfelt ballads, and evocative songs”, a press release on the event noted.

“I’m thrilled about the choir’s repertoire for this concert – each piece is uniquely expressive and evocative,” said Melody Gifford, choral musical director. “From the nostalgia of ‘The Road Home’ to the deep spirituality of ‘Amazing Grace’ and the heartfelt reflections in ‘Both Sides Now’, this programne will take our audience on a powerful musical journey.”

Tickets are available for $30 at eventpro.ky. The show will be held at 7pm on 14 March at the Harquail Theatre.
