The Cayman Islands are obviously for the super wealthy people going forward. The outrageously expensive condos and equally expensive hotel daily rates have priced out the average vacationer and families.
The best property is the Villas of the Galleon; the great staff, beautiful views and their facilities are reasonably priced. Over many years, my wife and I have stayed there.
The expansion of a fixed-based operator for private jets at the Owen Roberts International Airport tells the future of Cayman. It’s all about money! Forget the lowly cruise ship visitors. No to port facilities says: We don’t want your crowds.
We can never return to the paradise it once was and the lovely Caymanian people. It was wonderful while it lasted. Fond memories. Thanks to the Villas of the Galleon.
