Crypto Casino Night raises more than US$45,000 for Cayman Food Bank

The inaugural Cayman Crypto Casino Night featured fun gaming in support of the Cayman Food Bank.

The Governors Ballroom at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa was transformed into a glittering Las Vegas-style casino on 13 June for an event that raised more than US$45,000 for the Cayman Food Bank.
The inaugural Cayman Crypto Casino Night welcomed around 200 members of Cayman’s blockchain and fintech business community for an evening of gaming, philanthropy and networking.
In a press release issued by the organising committee, event host James Knox said: “It was heartwarming to see the very generous and collaborative digital asset community inCayman come together to support those less fortunate than themselves.”

Guests were greeted with light canapés and a welcome cocktail before taking their seats at 10 professionally dealt gaming tables, which included blackjack, poker, roulette and craps. Each chip “top-up” translated directly into donations for the Cayman Food Bank. The fun continued throughout the evening with a luxury silent auction curated by Island Companies and a “Chase the Ace” draw for additional prizes.
The Cayman Food Bank is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to alleviating hunger and improving the quality of life for vulnerable residents across the Cayman Islands through food procurement, distribution and community partnerships.
Event coordinator Patrick Bourque, who also served as game master, said:
“The Cayman digital asset community came out in full force to support the Cayman Food Bank, and everyone involved had a great time in the process. Win, lose or draw, they all came together to support a good cause and when that happens, the community always wins. It was definitely an event we will look to repeat.”
Naomi Law of the Cayman Food Bank said she was very thankful for the event and the efforts of the organising committee.
“From the enthusiasm of the sponsors to the laughter shared by attendees, this exciting event not only brought together the Cayman digital asset community, but helped to raise awareness and much needed funds for the food bank.”
Because of the success of the event, the organising committee confirmed its intention to return in 2026, pledging to set even higher fundraising stakes and further strengthen Cayman’s spirit of community collaboration.
