Devon Emmanuel Wright Jr., who is accused of killing 2-year-old Alissady Powell in Cayman Brac three years ago, appeared before the Grand Court via video link on Friday.
Wright, 33, appearing before Justice Cheryll Richards, made no plea.
His case was adjourned until 22 Aug. to allow extra time for legal disclosure to be completed.
He was charged in July with the murder and abduction of the toddler, who was found dead on the ironshore on Cayman Brac on 26 July 2022.
He is remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
