This year’s Movember campaign, themed ‘Check Your Saddlebags, Partner!’, is a call to action that combines cowboy spirit with a serious mission: to raise awareness of men’s health issues.
The event, held in November every year, also raises funds for health issues including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, colon cancer and mental health, with all proceeds going directly to the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.
Movember Cayman is holding a series of events in support of men’s health and wellness.
Here is what’s on the calendar:
MOpening Night Shave Off – 30 Oct. from sundown to 8pm at Door No. 4, The Grove
Kick off Movember with a clean shave and a toast to a month of growth. Join fellow Mo Bros and Mo Sistas celebrating the start of the campaign in style. Pick up an exclusive Mo-shirt.
Balls of Fury cocktail competition – 11 Nov. from sundown to late at Door No. 4, The Grove
Bartenders battle it out in this crowd-favourite mixology competition. Enjoy creative cocktails and spirited camaraderie while supporting a great cause.
RSM Movember Open – 14 Nov. from noon to 5pm at North Sound Golf Club
Hit the greens for charity in the annual RSM Movember golf championship, featuring friendly competition, prizes and plenty of laughs.
Great Wight Fitness Hyrox fundraiser – 16 Nov. from sunrise to 9am at the Cayman International School high school gym
Join the HYROX Sprint and Full Sim fitness challenge in support of Movember and the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.
Info Night – 20 Nov from 5-8pm at the Lions Centre
Learn more about men’s health, local resources and Movember’s impact. This informative evening includes guest speakers and open discussions, as well as free health checks and the all-important PSA test for eligible men.
Tickle Your Pickleballs – 22 Nov. from 10am-4pm at Pickleball Cayman
Get your game on for a day of fun and fitness. Whether a beginner or a seasoned player, this pickleball event caters to all ages and skill levels.
CoffeeParty.ky Close-Out – 30 Nov. from 7am to noon at Dragon Bay Sailing Club
Wrap up Movember with the coolest coffee social and wellness activity hub on island.
