The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism brought Cayman’s ‘vaCay’ message to the international travel industry this week with a fleet of iconic London taxis to help spread the word.

To mark the campaign ahead of the World Travel Market, more than 100 London black cabs were adorned with the ‘Welcome to vaCay’ message, encouraging UK residents to escape the cold winter temperatures for some Cayman Islands sunshine.

An estimated 45,000 travel industry professionals were expected to attend this year’s World Travel Market held in London 4-6 Nov. The annual event is one of the largest travel industry events worldwide, with 5,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries.

Director of Tourism Rosa Harris led the Cayman Islands’ delegation, along with Gary Hendricks-Dominguez, deputy director of international marketing and promotions and Joanna Walding, business development manager for UK and Europe.

Together, they met with UK and European travel partners to strengthen relationships, highlight new investment and product updates, and reinforce the Cayman Islands’ position as a premier Caribbean destination for luxury and lifestyle travel.

  1. Va-cay man

… not tooo late for an edit.. Users glance for moments in London.. You want to use that word “cayman”. .. play with fonts and colors. Making a mistake in marketing is natural, correcting that mistake is “gold”.

PS. VaCay .. with that beach looks like a free ad for the Bahamas when you’re in London. if you love Cayman and want people to think Cayman.. Say “CAYMAN”
