The Cayman Chapter of the Alumni Association of Northern Caribbean University has launched an Educational Sponsorship Programme to help young adults gain Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) qualifications and improve access to further education and employment opportunities.

The Cayman Chapter, known as ACKy, is now accepting applications for sponsorship for the 2026–2027 CSEC or preparatory course offerings. Applications must be submitted by Friday, 14 August 2026.

ACKy is a nonprofit organisation committed to empowering individuals through education. In addition to financial assistance to eligible applicants demonstrating need, participants may benefit from mentoring, coaching, and ongoing encouragement throughout their studies to help maximise their chances of academic success.

“Education has the power to transform lives,” said Patricia Ebanks, President of ACKy. “We know there are talented young adults who have the ability and determination to succeed but need additional support to achieve their educational goals. This programme is designed to provide that opportunity.”

Courses are delivered by volunteer professionals through the Adventist CXC Volunteer Centre at Cayman Academy, 211 Walkers Road, George Town. Sponsorships awarded by ACKy will take effect from September 2026.

Applicants must be between 17 and 30 years of age, demonstrate financial need, and show a commitment to pursuing qualifications that will enhance their education or employment prospects. The programme is open to applicants of all faiths and nationalities, although preference may be given to Caymanian applicants.

Applications will be assessed by an ACKy-appointed selection panel based on eligibility, financial need, references, and supporting information. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for interviews.

Deadline for applications is Friday, 14 Aug. 2026.
