On Super Bowl Sunday, Michael Pratt and 10 friends made the most of his victory in the Win a Party for the Big Game competition.
The contest, which was run online at cayCompass.com, offered a grand prize of a Super Bowl party for the winner and 10 friends at The Club House, with beer provided by Miller Lite and party food by The Club House. The winner also walked away with a 32-inch flat screen television.
Fortunately, Mr. Pratt saw his team reach the Super Bowl so he had quite a bit to celebrate.
“My wife and I are both Giants fans, so that makes Super Bowl even more enjoyable,” he said.
However, this had not always been the case, as in the past Mr. Pratt had supported other teams in the Super Bowl.
“Last time the two teams played in the Super Bowl I rooted for the Patriots and my wife rooted for Long Island, and the Giants came out and kicked my team’s (behind), so I figured this time it would be safer if we both supported the Giants,” he laughed.
As it turned out, it was a very sage decision on the part of Mr. Pratt. It saved him from having to settle for second best yet again, as the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots, 21-17.
