Seven Mile Beach property Casa Caribe Condominiums has undergone a series of renovations.
These include a significant refurbishment of the entire front and back offices, said Effie Mitchell-Johnson, general manager.
“We’ve new furniture, desk, paint and a new layout. There’s also a new glass entrance as we wanted to make it fresh, modern and give a great guest experience.
“It took around three months and makes it a nicer place to work; it’s fresh, functional and flows well,” she said. “As about 90 per cent of our guests are repeat visitors they get excited about improvements and indeed when we do things like this it trickles down to our owners who tend to fix their places up too.”
All units now have brand new linens including sheets and towels, she said, noting that there are fantastic properties on the market and that it was important to keep up as a property.
Projected increases
In general, there is a positive mood about how Cayman is faring this year and the general manager said that things are looking good so far.
“It’s all about fabulous service and customer-friendly service which we continue to seek to provide; we can always improve but we are doing really well and having a fabulous season to date,” Ms Mitchell-Johnson said. “We increased by 20 per cent in 2011 and are projected to increase by 25 to 30 per cent this year. One interesting thing to note is that in previous years the high season tended to cut off on 15 April but we are now seeing very good June, July and August too so September and October are the down months. This is a great thing.”
