Bodden Town kept the pressure up on leaders Elite and Scholars International with a 1-0 victory on Sunday. The match against Tigers at the TE McField Annex was dominated by Bodden Town but they squandered several chances. They can thank Theron Wood for the only goal.
Bodden Town welcomed back Ramon Sealy in goal who was here from university in Florida in preparation to leave with the Cayman national cricket team for a tournament in Singapore.
Scholars also won, 2-0 against Cayman Athletic, on Monday at the TE McField Annex. Mark Ebanks got both strikes.
At the Ed Bush stadium in West Bay, Elite maintained their lead at the top of the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Roma United, thanks to a Cardiel ‘Ray’ Hydes strike. The late game between George Town and Future was postponed because of insufficient light.
Elite and Scholars both have 34 points and Bodden Town are only three behind.
English professional club Swindon Town’s Under-13 team is over, featuring Cayman’s wonder kid Sebastian Martinez. The third and exhibition game is on Thursday at the TE McField Annex, kick off, 7pm.
