A new physiotherapist from Ireland has joined the team at Cayman Physiotherapy.
Kevin Murray, who graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland with an honours degree in physiotherapy with clinical distinction, arrived in the Cayman Islands in June 2012.
Prior to this, he worked in private practices, as well as with a number of rugby and Gaelic football teams, throughout Ireland.
Mr. Murray is an experienced physiotherapist who specialises in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries. He also treats a wide variety of non-sport related neuro-musculoskeletal injuries.
He is also qualified in the use of dry-needling as a means of treating myofascial pain.
His great love for sports arose from years of swimming competitively at both the provincial and national level in Ireland, and he nurtures his sports enthusiasm by playing golf and continually improving his single-digit handicap.
In October, he will be introducing some new classes at Cayman Physiotherapy, including: “Get into the swing”, a strength and flexibility class specifically tailored to individual golfing needs and which includes a complimentary Injury prevention consultation; “Stretch for health” to improve overall flexibility and fitness; “Stretching for sport”, to help athletes and those training for a marathon, triathlon or other sports competition to relieve tight muscles and help people achieve their maximum athletic potential faster and safer.
