PWC B are riding high in co-ed softball.
Heading into this week, the accountants are 8-1 atop division three of the Cayman Islands Little League Association’s 2013 Winter Adult Co-Ed Softball League.
Behind stars like Scott Murray and Robert Harris, PWC are coming off an inter-league victory over Coors Light Chuggers last Wednesday. Coors Light was the league’s last unbeaten team and now sit 7-1-1 atop the B division. The Chuggers were in action on Sunday while PWC have a bye week.
League action continues on Monday, 25 March, at 8.15pm at the Field of Dreams facility. On field three, Maples Sluggers battle Walkers Warriors while KPMG A face Home Gas on field four.
Maples, 4-2-1, and Walkers, 2-6-1, are among the teams chasing Coors Light in the B division. The others are 4-2 BritCay Premiums, 4-3 Deloitte, 4-4 Rackam’s Crabbies, 2-6 Hitmen and 2-6 Master Batters.
KPMG, 4-4, and Home Gas, 4-3-1, are among the teams in the A division. The group leader is Rhino Rebar, 5-2-1, with A.L. Thompson’s Hammers in the cellar at 4-4.
For the record, PWC B is being chased by 4-4 Dart, 4-4 Harbour House Whalers, 4-4 UBS Swingers, 2-6 KPMG B and 1-7 Subway. The Misfits, 4-2, top the D league ahead of 4-2 Digicel Dynamos, 4-3 G-Force and 1-6 PWC Scorpions.
Matches continue this week on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8.15pm.
