The government has released the orientation dates and times for public schools for the Cayman Islands. They are:
Primary schools
Aug. 25
- Red Bay, West End and Lighthouse schools – 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Bodden Town, Creek and Spot Bay schools – 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Sir John A. Cumber – 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- George Town – 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Savannah – 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- Prospect – 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- North Side – 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- East End – 8:30 a.m. to noon
High schools
Aug. 21

- Layman E. Scott – Year 12 students collec results/initial counseling, 9 a.m.
Aug. 25
- John Gray – Year 7, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Further Education Centre – Year 12 students collect results, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Layman E. Scott – Transfer students orientation, 9 a.m.
- Clifton Hunter – New students since July 2014 (not Year 7), 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Aug. 26
- John Gray – Years 8 and 9, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Further Education Centre – Year 11 students collect results and register for classes, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Layman E. Scott – School reopens for Years 7 to 11
- Clifton Hunter – Years 7 and 11 students only, 7:55 a.m. to 2:55 p.m.
Aug. 27
- John Gray – Years 10 and 11, 8 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
- Clifton Hunter – School reopens for all students.
Aug. 28
- John Gray – School reopens for all students at 8 a.m.
Sept. 1
- Further Education Centre – School reopens for all students.
- Layman E. Scott – Class induction for Year 12 students.
