Keneil Irving was last weekend’s top batsmen as cricket action continued at a furious pace.
There were five matches in the CICA’s Money Express competition, with three matches in Division 2 and two in Division 1.

In Division Two games on Saturday, there were wins for West Bay and UCCI. At the Smith Road Oval, West Bay defeated Pro Plus by one wicket in a close to maintain their unbeaten record so far this season.
Scores in the game were Pro Plus 194 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Sam Suberan top scored with 43 runs, with Len McDonald 36, George Hudson 30,and Jamie Ware 29 lending good support.
Bowling for West Bay, Anthony Higgins took 3 wickets for 36 runs and George Johnson 2 wickets for 31 runs.
In their turn at the crease, West Bay replied with 197 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Omar Willis top scored with 36 runs while Anthony Higgins scored 29, Sydney Moore 25 not out, Ugal Sicard 23, Wayne Cato 17 and Mervin Brooks 13.
Sam Suberan with 2 wickets for 33 runs and Terry Nathan 2 wickets for 19 runs were Pro Plus best bowlers.
In another Second Division on Saturday at the Jimmy Powell Oval, UCCI defeated Cayman Brac by 4 wickets. Batting first, Cayman Brac scored 126 runs all out. The Sohan brothers, Sahadeo and Hetram scored 30 and 18 runs respectively with Clive Anderson also contributing 18 runs.
Bowling for UCCI, Ricardo Roach took 3 wickets for 17 runs, Kervin Ebanks 2 wickets for 27 runs and Kevin Maxwell 2 wickets for 28 runs.
The UCCI team replied with 127 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Captain Ramon Sealy top score of 40 runs, Perry George 24 and a hard hitting 20 not out from Oscar Owen ensured victory for the UCCI team by 4 wickets.
Bowling for Cayman Brac, Robert Levy took 2 wickets for 24 runs and Steve Coates took 2 wickets for 29 runs.
In Sunday’s action, there was one Second Division game and two in the First Division.
In the Second Division at the John A Cumber School grounds, Cayman Brac rebounded from their Saturday’s loss to defeat JJ’s Cricket club by 43 runs.
Batting first, Brac made 231 runs all out. Steve Coates with 81, Sahadeo Sohan 38, Desrick Dawson 20 and Hetram Sohan 16 were the main contributors for the Brac team.
Bowling for JJ’s, Lodel Farqueson took 3 wickets for 33 runs and Joseph Bent 2 wickets for 5 runs.
When JJ’s replied, despite an unbeaten 103 runs from Garth Bryan, they were unable to make the 232 runs to overtake the Brac’s score. They were bowled out for 185 runs giving Brac victory by 46 runs.
Apart from Bryan’s 103 runs, Omar Swaby with,33 runs and Tristan Campbell 16 runs, were the only other batsmen to get into double figures.
Adrian Muir took 4 wickets for 47 runs, James Reid 2 wickets for 33 runs and Steve Coates 2 wickets for 45 runs bowling for Cayman Brac.
In Division One action on Sunday, Greenies and Prison scored victories over By-Rite and Cable and Wireless Schools respectively.
At Smith Road Oval, Greenies batted first and scored 193 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Tom Stephens top scored with 72 runs while Scott Watson 28, and Andrew Dean 27 not out.
Conroy Wright with 4 wickets for 34 runs and Gary Tulloch 2 wickets for 23 runs were By-Rite’s main bowlers.
In their turn at batting, Keneil Irving scored an entertaining and attacking century for the By Rite team but that was not enough as Greenies kept their cool and dismissed the By-Rite team for 180 runs to win the game by 14 runs.
In By Rite’s batting, Irving scored 101 runs, including 8 fours and 5 sixes, Philip Wight 25 not out and Michael Wight 18.
Scott Watson took 3 wickets for 36 runs and David McGrath 2 wickets for 27 runs, bowling for The Greenies team.
In the other First Division game on Sunday at The Jimmy Powell Oval, Prison batted first against C&W Schools and scored 232 runs all out. Kenchand Dindyal top scored with 64 runs, Saheed Mohammed scored 50 runs and Steve Gordon 44 runs.
Bowling for Schools, Marlon Bryan took 3 wickets for 28 runs, Omar Willis 2 wickets for 41 runs and Gregory Smith 2 wickets for 52 runs.
In their turn at the crease, the Schools team was restricted to 201 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Captain, Ricardo Roach scored 55, while other good contributions came from Gregory Smith 42 not out, Kervin Ebanks 38 not out and Darren Cato 18.
Bowling for Prison, Troy David took 2 wickets for 31 runs. Prison won the game by 31 runs.
