The Brac Branch of the Humane Society is advising dog owners of the importance of getting a vaccination against Parvo, a fatal disease that has been in Grand Cayman and has the potential to be found in the Brac.
Dogs that are up to date with their yearly check-ups and vaccinations are not in danger as parvo inoculation is part of the regular vaccination.
However, if dogs do not receive yearly check-ups and vaccinations, they must be vaccinated for their safety.
Island Vets will be giving free parvo vaccinations on 10 June between 8am and noon.
