A local youth football league sees its fourth week of action start today.
Two games will be played this afternoon at 3pm in the Department of Sports U15 Interscholastic Football League.
Heritage High school takes on Triple C at the George Hicks campus while St. Ignatius (Catholic) hosts Pace High school at the Catholic field.
So far Heritage has emerged as a league power. Up to week three Heritage had an undefeated record.
Their offense was decent scoring three goals while the defense had been superb allowing just one goal.
Canover Watson has coached the Heritage players well to this point as the team has showed a good understanding of the basics of the game.
For Triple C today’s match is one of their first for the year due to weather-related cancellations for their prior games.
Pace goes into its match up looking for a victory. Before the start of play in week three their record was 0-1-1.
They got their only points of the season in Week 2 with a two all draw against New Horizons.
Thus far Pace has been an average team scoring three goals while allowing four goals.
The last games of week three were set to have taken place on Monday. Triple C was scheduled to take on Eagle’s Wings at George Hicks while Catholic hosted Cayman Prep.
The rest of week four’s games are set to be played next Monday. Leading Edge is set to battle Cayman Prep while New Horizons goes against Eagle’s Wings. Both games are expected to be played at the George Hicks field.
Results of those games are expected to be published at a later date.
The league plays for some seven weeks with the final games being around early December.
Games take place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3pm at either the George Hicks or the St. Ignatius (Catholic) grounds.
