I too believe that the laws in this country are too lenient on people that commit rape against children and I know that all the people I have spoken to feel that way too.
The law needs to be changed to allow for far greater sentences for these kinds of crimes (life in solitary confinement would be perfect, in lieu of a few other thing I could suggest) because two years is not enough of a deterrence against them.
As for people that aren’t from here staying, that is not right those people should be sent back to where they are from whether they have been here one year or 50 years; we don’t need them here; what is to stop them from doing it again?
This is something that needs to be looked into, the children of this island don’t need to be afraid of these kinds of things.
As a parent (and I think I speak for all parents) I ask the government to do something about trying to discourage this disgusting type of crime.
