Celebrations’ Christmas store at the Mirco Centre was officially opened to the public at 5:30pm following a welcome speech from Managing Director, Jo-Anne Brown.

Guests swarmed the store to purchase the latest in Christmas décor and to peruse the new and exclusive Concierge Executive Services VIP Lounge. The lounge is the latest addition to a broad range of services offered by the store.

‘Customers get a magical Christmas feeling as soon as they enter the store,’ said Retail Sales and Executive Services Manager Nadia Fagan. ‘The customer service, design and décor is truly inviting and inspiring for both adults and children alike.’

Guests were able to enjoy appetisers from Fusion and drinks al fresco, whilst enjoying a myriad of live entertainment, including Janine Stabler on violin, Isadora of Bonafide sang and played keyboards before the final act, the Cayman National Chamber Choir, managed to rouse the crowd into a sing-along of Christmas tunes.

‘This is an evening we look forward to every year as it gives us a chance to show our customers how much we appreciate them, and a chance to give back tot eh community through our wreath raffle,’ said Mrs. Brown.

‘Almost $1,000 as raised for the Humane Society, the Red Cross and the Cancer Society, I am pleased to say. Many thanks to all those who purchased a ticket.’

Christine Landers, director of the Cayman Islands Cancer Society, expressed her gratitude to Celebrations in return. ‘Celebrations is one of the Cayman Islands Cancer Society’s Partners in Prevention and we are pleased that it was selected as one of the charities to be represented at the Celebrations Open House,’ said Ms Sanders. ‘The support of Celebrations and everyone who donated is vital to the success of the Society and its programmes and we thank them for their support.’

Pamela Hart, vice-president and fundraising chair for the Humane Society, was equally grateful. ‘The Celebrations wreath raffle held at their Christmas event is one of the many ways in which Celebrations give back to the community. The Humane Society was delighted to have been one of the charities invited to participate this year and the wreath earned $240 for the Shelter animals.
