Pirates Week still on

Due to Hurricane Paloma last weekend a number of Pirates Week festivities were rescheduled, including the landing pageant, float parade, costume competition and Miss Festival Queen, which have all been re-scheduled for this weekend.

Today, Friday 14 November

11am to 2am – East End Heritage Day.

4pm to 8pm – Mike Lockwood Memorial International swim meet at the Lions Pool.

4.30pm – Late registration 5K Run.

5pm – 5K run

Saturday, 15 November

8am to 5pm – Mike Lockwood Memorial International swim meet at the Lions Pool.

12.30pm to 2pm – Cardboard boat race.

2pm to 3pm – Pre-landing entertainment.

3pm to 4pm – Landing pageant.

4pm to 5.30pm – Float parade.

5.30pm – Pirate costume competition.

6.15pm – Miss Festival Queen competition.

6.45pm – Pirates Week songfest.

7.30pm – Trial of the pirates.

7.45pm – Fireworks.

8pm to midnight – Teen Up, teens own disco at the Craft Market.

8.05pm to midnight – Street dance and food festival.

Sunday, 16 November

7am – Pirates Week 10K Run.

8am – Mike Lockwood Memorial International swim meet.

1pm – Mickey Mouse Darts Tournament at Jillian’s Billiard Lounge.

1pm to 4pm – Children’s fun fair day at St. Ignatius playing field.
