Pure Art celebrates 21st anniversary

Debbie van der Bol is preparing to celebrate her 21st anniversary…with her art gallery.

Having owned Pure Art, an art gallery and store, for 21 years, Debbie has spent much of her time split between Cayman and Pennsylvania. However, just last month she moved back to the island for good, and will settle in to make Pure Art her true home.

On 21st to 30th November Pure Art will be officially celebrating its 21st anniversary with an art show, featuring work commissioned by Pure Art especially for the event.

Each artist will be creating one piece out of nickel and brass, as they are the metals that accompany celebrations of a 21st anniversary.

All works will be available for sale and featured artists will include Janet Walker, Maureen Andersen, Lorna Griggs and of course Debbie herself, who have all been with the gallery since its opening.

Relatively recent artists will also be exhibiting their work, including April Bending, Avril Ward, Elaine Grieves, Maureen Lazarus and Shane Arquat, creator of the well-known ‘Dready’ artwork.

The first 21 customers to purchase an item during the period of the art show will receive a free art print by Debbie van der Bol as an extra expression of gratitude from the gallery for its long-time customers.

‘I am thankful for the positive encouragement of my son Peter and his grandparents, Sandra and Peter van der Bol,’ said Ms van der Bol. ‘And of course, for the continued support and patronage of our local and visiting clientele.’
