People all across Cayman are getting ready to Stride Against Cancer this Sunday 25 January and you can join them either at the Public Beach on West Bay Road or in North Side.
The walk/run event is a major fundraising event for the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.
All of the proceeds from the $25 registration fee will be used to fund the many programs the Society offers to cancer patients and the local community.
Participants in the event will start out and end back at the Public Beach. Those persons have the opportunity to walk or run a half-marathon (13.1 miles) beginning at 6am or the shorter 6.5 mile distance beginning at 7am.
However organizers say don’t be put off by the distance – come out and walk as far as you can and have some fun!
Participants in the North Side event start at 7am from the Boat Launch beside Over The Edge and walk or run to Kaibo where transportation back to the Boat Launch will be provided.
Registration will be at the Fosters Food Fair in East End tomorrow Saturday 24 January.
Persons wishing to register for the walk may do so on the morning of the event but organizers recommend that you register ahead of time.
