I too am a victim of an increased water bill that jumped from $150 to $700 in one month.
I was told by the Water Authority to get a plumber to check for leaks.
I got a plumber at my own cost only to find out there was no leak. I was told by the Water Authority that the meter would be sent off for inspection, and of course it came back perfect.
I would be interested to hear how often this happens and to how many other customers.
However, I disagree with Brendan Sherlock’s letter about how maybe only expats been targeted. I am a Caymanian. Hope that answers your suspicions
