Changing the name of the Pirate’s Week Festival is one of the dumbest things I have heard of.
I discovered Cayman through Pirate’s Week (who cared what it was really about) and then proceeded to buy a house and invest money in the Island.
I come to the Island many times a year…but always at Pirate’s Week.
Changing the name defeats the purpose of the festival.
The government has better things to fight and change…like crime and crime…and oh yea…crime.

However, on second thought maybe crime is rising and there are more guns on the Island because of ‘pirates week’. Bah Humbug.
