Police detectives are reviewing
historic missing person files following a man’s shocking discovery Friday
afternoon.
Ercival Green was clearing land in
a heavily wooded area owned by his boss off
Bobby Thompson Way when he stumbled upon a skull and other skeletal
remains.
“When I see it, I say this is not
an animal because the head is round, said Mr. Green. “I got closer and I saw
the head and then I saw a watch and clothes and I said this is human.”
Mr. Green notified his boss who
called the police.
Investigators say the remains are
of a man and appear to have been in the location for several years.
Mr. Green says a cord was hanging
from a tree under which the skeleton was lying.
Investigators say it’s too early to
determine the cause of death or identity of the body.
