The Cayman Islands premiere of a
zombie movie shot in North Side over the summer will be held at Hollywood
Theatres on Thursday, 2 December. Additional screenings on 9 and 16 December
have also been scheduled.
Public tickets for the premiere
cost $50, while tickets for the following two screenings are $12 each.
The film stars local actors Rita
Estevanovich, Brian Braggs, Peter Kosa and Katherine Brindley and centres on a
group of characters who fight off an invasion of zombie cruise ship passengers
who have washed up along the coast of North Side.
The film was shot over two weeks
with local crew, mostly at the Driftwood Bar in North Side. The script was
penned by the bar’s owner, Phil Eckstein.
Tickets go on sale from today
(Friday, 4 November) at the cinema in Camana Bay.
Last Saturday, clientele of the
Driftwood Bar got a sneak peak of a fine cut of the film during a Halloween
party.
A British premiere of the film will
be shown in London on 29 November.
