Gimistory festival returns this month

Gimistory, the international
storytelling festival of the Cayman Islands is scheduled for 30 November – 4
December.  The family-oriented programme,
always highly anticipated, boasts free fish ‘n fritters and swanky served at
the end of each evening’s events.

Organised by the Cayman National
Cultural Foundation to promote and enhance the Islands’ appreciation of
performance art in general and the spoken word in particular, Gimistory
features local and international tellers who will make the rounds of all the
districts and Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.

“Just like with Hurricane Ivan,
which set us back tremendously, we still persevered to offer Gimistory that
year, likewise with the economic downturn that we’re presently experiencing, we
feel that we must continue to offer good quality, free entertainment to our
people,”  said CNCF’s Artistic Director
Henry Muttoo.
