Though final figures have not come in, Leader of Government Business Kurt Tibbetts said close to 10,000 people passed through the gates of the annual agriculture show on Grand Cayman in February.
‘All indications are the show was a great success,’ Mr. Tibbetts said on Friday.
Another 1,250 people packed the Cayman Brac Ag show at its new home on the bluff. An estimated 400 people came over from Grand Cayman to attend.
Attendance at the Brac show was about 25 per cent higher than in 2006.
The number of vendors was up 50 per cent from last year.

‘People were…trying to book space for next year, so it looks like we’re going to have to expand the (Cayman Brac) site for next year,’ Mr. Tibbetts said.
