Fundraiser for Cancer Society
The Cayman Islands Cancer Society will be holding its Periwinkle Days Plant Sale 30 and 31 March.
Over the course of the two days, the Society hopes to sell 500 periwinkle plants at $10 each to raise funds to help cancer patients with medical and related expenses, stated a press release. The plants come with a special gift tag to give as Easter gifts to family, friends and colleagues.
A delivery service will be offered to businesses in the George Town and West Bay road areas on Friday, 30 March, providing at least 10 plants have been ordered from the same business address.
Orders for delivery should be made to the Cancer Society office on Maple Road by 4pm on Wednesday, 28 March. To place an order please email [email protected] with the word Periwinkle Days in the subject line or fax 949-8694. You may also call 949-7618.
FYI
Periwinkles were chosen because they have particular significance to the Society. They are the flower featured in the Society’s logo and the plant is used for healing purposes including cancer treatment.
