Thousands of people came out to watch the Cayman Carnival Batabano 2005 parade last Saturday afternoon.
Batabano costume parade 2005 was every bit as colourful as last year’s. Both participants and onlookers seemed to enjoy the spectacle. As the parade snaked its way into George Town town centre, the streets and the sidewalks were awash with colourful characters all intent on living up to the party atomsphere.
For one afternoon, at least, everyone got to forget their troubles and simply shuffle or whine to the beat.
The Junior Carnival started from the Wharf Restaurant before the Adult Carnival got under way from the Royal Palms.
Both parades made their way to the people-lined streets of George Town.
