Round Four
In the featured game of round four, defending champions Madiba’s Magic conclusively outplayed the previously unbeaten Muppets 6-0 and move within just 2 tries of the top of the table. After four games Madiba’s are yet to concede a try and are once again showing why they are the team to beat. The Wreckers, Gaelic Warriors, C&W Taniwhas and Five Nations all continued their accent up the table with good wins, while Back ‘n’ Black moved off the bottom with an excellent victory over PWC Thunder. However, after a hard fought win over Maples and Calder, it is The Incredibles that remain at the top of the points table and the talk of the 2005 league.
Top Try Scorers
There was no change at the top of the top try scorers table with Phillip Labuschagne (The Incredibles) picking up another 3 to take his tally for the season to 17. Matthew Dallimore (C&W Taniwhas) remains in second place with 8. Despite not crossing the line in round four, Alison O’Hare (Madiba’s Magic) remains the top female try scorer with 5.
Player of the week
The player of the week award for round four is jointly awarded to Tony Elliot and Dee McSweeney.
