Performers and small-boat owners willing to participate in this year’s Pirate’s Week Landing Pageant are being sought by the event’s Landing Committee.
According to a release from the Pirates Week Office, a new mini-stage will be placed in Harbour Drive, near Shedden Road with various acts performing prior to the mock invasion of the pirate ships. The mini-stage will have the capacity to play recorded music and will be equipped with two cordless microphones.
‘We’re looking for people who can do things like sword fighting, juggling, balloon sculpting and acrobatics. There’s room for nay kind of performing talent, and we’d be happy to give people a chance to show their talent before that big crowd,’ said Landing Committee co-chairman Craig Frederick.
For anyone interested in volunteering should call the Pirates Week Office 949 5859, email [email protected] or fax 949 5449.
