Letterlough is on schedule to graduate next year with his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Finance. His ultimate academic goal is to acquire a Masters degree in the same field.
Letterlough, who’s well known for his athletic prowess, is matching that with classroom work. He achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 for the 2004 fall semester and bettered that mark in spring 2005 with a 3.75 score.
He won a bronze medal in the recent Island Games in the discus and silver in the hammer throw. He has also collected medals of various metals in local and international meets, including the regional CARIFTA Games. Currently he competes in Division 1A in the US where he recently set a Cayman Islands record, throwing the discuss 45.83 meters.
The annual grants from Team 2Frenzied date back to 2001. Letterlough is appreciative.
‘The funds have aided me greatly in the area of rent and living expenses, and indicated a commitment not just in wishing me well, but also assisting in my well being. I’m very grateful to the East End People for their expressions of encouragement and pats on the back as I pursue my goals.’
Letterlough works at the CIBC Trust Department during his summer vacations.
