After serving over a year on remand in Northward Prison awaiting trial on charges of accessory to murder in relation to the 2010 shooting of Marcus Gauman, Craig Johnson’s bail was discharged and released from court imposed restraints on Friday, 26 August.
The Crown offered no evidence against Johnson, after the principal defendant in the matter, Jordan Manderson, was found not guilty.
Johnson’s attorney Anthony Akiwumi also asked an ankle bracelet be removed from his client’s ankle, to which Justice Alexander agreed, before making a formal order to do so. A curfew being adhered to by Johnson was also rescinded.
