KPMG Legends Finals sold out

The demand to view world-class tennis in the Cayman Islands remains high, with the finals matches of the 2011 KPMG Legends Tennis Championships now sold out.

Taking place from Wednesday, 16 November, through Saturday, 19 November, at The Courts at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, the 2011 KPMG Legends Tennis Championships player line up includes Grand Slam tournament winners Martina Hingis, Jennifer Capriati, Mark Philippoussis, Wayne Ferreira, Chanda Rubin, Jimmy Arias, Stephen Huss and Murphy Jensen.

An exciting new format offers both singles and doubles matches, and the event welcomes the sport’s top female players for the first time.

Anthony Cowell, Partner, KPMG in the Cayman Islands said, “I am delighted by the sellout of the 2011 KPMG Legends Tennis, which is testament to the calibre of players being brought to the island and the level of appreciation for the game. I hope everyone attending enjoys the week’s activities.”

Mike Ryan, developer of The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and long-standing host sponsor of the Legends tournament, said, “That tickets for the KPMG Legends Tennis Finals are already sold out is a strong positive indicator of the interest in this event. We are very pleased that we’ve made the tournament more accessible this year, with lower ticket prices and expanded seating options, as the response shows us that people really want to see world-class tennis played in Cayman. It is also a heart-warming sign that Cayman remains a giving and charitable community, since proceeds from the event will go to the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre and local junior tennis programmes. I am looking forward to seeing the crowds at the matches, and would like to thank the Cayman public for supporting the worthy causes that this event benefits.”

  1. This event seems to be growing and being better organised. Well done organisers for continuing to provide Cayman with a premium event which attracts not only tourists and internaitonal exposure but great entertainment for residents.
