Pet owners who want to immoralize their dogs or cats by painting a portrait of the animals can get help doing so this weekend.
One Dog At A Time is hosting a painting fundraiser Sunday, May 20, at 3 Girls and a Kiln in Camana Bay, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Animal lovers can paint their beloved companions on pre-prepared canvases. Participants submit a photo of their pet, which will be pre-drawn onto canvas by 3 Girls and a Kiln. Those attending will then be able to paint their pets with their help.
“We are happy to provide our time and space to such a great cause,” said Aimee Randolph, one of the members of 3 Girls and a Kiln. “Deborah, Claire and myself are all animal lovers and happy to support the efforts of One Dog At A Time and their mission.”
One Dog At A Time is a foster-based dog rescue group which started its work in 2013 after realizing the extent of pet overpopulation in the Cayman Islands. They rescue dogs and puppies on-island and ensure that they find a good home. All money raised from the event goes to One Dog At A Time.
Those interested in attending must purchase tickets and submit a photo by Friday at the latest so that it can be prepared before Sunday. Tickets cost $70. Email [email protected] or visit their Facebook Page.
