Nominations open for Island Innovation Awards

Island Innovation is hosting the Island Innovation Awards, in partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative. The awards will recognise individuals, organisations and technologies driving positive change for remote and island communities globally.

The awards and nomination process was officially launched by former US President Bill Clinton during the Virtual Island Summit last month, which attracted over 14,000 attendees.

The organisation is calling for individuals, organisations and projects to apply to and nominate for the awards, which are focussed on celebrating excellence in sustainability initiatives in 12 categories.

The focus of the awards will be on sharing how the winners succeeded, so that other communities can benefit, the organisers said.

Nominations are open until 5 Nov. The winners will be announced during a live virtual awards ceremony on 8 Dec.
