Update: Police confirmed this morning that one person was pronounced dead as a result of the two-car collision last night, and four others received injuries.
Police named the deceased as 29-year-old Alden Emelo Ohero Irons, a Jamaican national residing in the Cayman Islands.
Original story: Police and emergency services are on the scene of a two-car accident on Shamrock Road, near Red Bay Primary School.
Initial reports indicate that the crash occurred around 10:15pm on Sunday, 5 Dec., involving a total of four people. There are unconfirmed reports of one fatality.
The road is presently closed between Red Bay Esso and Red Bay Primary School.
A WhatsApp note from Mark Ray, of the Department of Education Services, confirmed the Lighthouse School car park was blocked.
The DES said they were working with police to clear the area.
Ray sent his condolences to those involved.
