The Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman announced the success of its eighth ‘Biennial Breakfast for Dinner’ fundraiser, held on 22 May.
The event venue, Mykonos, was filled to capacity with community members who gathered in support of the Club’s vital youth service initiatives and feeding programmes.

Funds raised during the festive evening will directly support the Kiwanis Club’s community activities, youth service programmes, and the ‘Feed a Kid a Meal Programme’, which helps address food insecurity among students during school breaks.
The evening’s title sponsor, Wheaton Precious Metals, was honoured with a commemorative plaque in recognition of its unwavering support over the past six years. Through donations totaling more than $35,000, Wheaton Precious Metals has played a significant role in sustaining the Club’s feeding programmes during the COVID-19 pandemic and continuing through today.
Several long-standing members of Kiwanis were also recognised for their years of dedicated service to the Club and to the children of the Cayman Islands. Honourees included Paul de Freitas, Nicola Murray, Cavell Goulbourne and Annabell Dela Cruz-Ting.
Maxine Eldemire, who has served as a Key Club Advisor for more than 30 years, received special recognition during the evening. Past Key Club Lieutenant Governor Leah Robinson delivered a tribute in her honour, and Eldemire was presented with flowers and a commemorative plaque in appreciation of her longstanding commitment to youth leadership and service.
This year’s Breakfast for Dinner event, sponsored by Wheaton Precious Metals, also featured a fashion show hosted by Silhouette, located in Camana Bay, while DJ Craig of One World Entertainment kept the dance floor lively throughout the evening.
Breakfast for Dinner Coordinator Kadi Pentney extended her sincere gratitude to all sponsors, donors, volunteers and attendees for their continued generosity and support, noting that their contributions enable the Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of young people throughout the Cayman Islands.
“We encourage everyone to visit our website to learn how you can partner with us as we continue expanding our reach and creating positive change for even more children across Cayman,” Pentney added.
