A 24-year-old man, of Bodden Town, is scheduled to appear in court today, 17 Jan., charged with attempted robbery of a man at Coe Wood Beach earlier this month.
The man has also been charged with possession of a controlled drug.
Police said the attempted robbery occurred on Sunday morning, 2 Jan., when a man at the Bodden Town beach was approached by another man who demanded cash and personal items “while making intimations that he was in possession of a firearm”.
Police said an altercation ensued and the man then fled the location.
At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of a quantity of ganja, leading to the drug charge.
