Government will consider applications from beach vendors to operate on Bodden Town’s Coe Wood Beach but intends to keep all other public beaches free of commercial activity.

A 24-year-old man, of Bodden Town, is scheduled to appear in court today, 17 Jan., charged with attempted robbery of a man at Coe Wood Beach earlier this month.

A part-built structure, that has been puzzling beachgoers in Bodden Town for several weeks, will eventually be home to a new seaside craft market, the Public Works Department confirmed Wednesday.

Royal Cayman Islands Police Service officers conducted a marine search for more than two hours Friday night, looking for a man who got into trouble in the water off Coe Wood Beach in Bodden Town.

The exciting prospects of enjoying local food, artifacts, cultural activities and local music had visitors and pirates stopping in at the Bodden Town Heritage Day on Monday. The annual event during Pirates Week featured live music, crafts, food, local businesses and more from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Nov. 14.
