After drawing at full time, East End United FC beat Future SC 4-2 on penalties to claim the Cayman Islands Football Association 2022 President’s Cup trophy on Wednesday, 3 March.

Scoring for the game, held at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex, kicked off with Future’s Mark Ebanks finding the back of the net 15 minutes into the match. Teammate Matthias Mijnheer made it 2-0 in the 27th minute.

East End’s Lorenzo Howard then scored in the 32rd minute to close the first half 2-1. However, Howard wasn’t done.

He notched his second goal in the 51st minute to bring the game level. Neither team was able to score for the remainder of the half, though, ultimately leading to the penalty shootout and the East Enders lifting the prestigious trophy.
